Forever in Blue Jeans

There’s Jeff, and there’s Beth, and we got married on July 8, 2005.  It was lovely, you should have been there.  No seriously, best wedding ever.

There was even some booty shakin’.

We met at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN (BOILER UP!), thanks to some friends.  Jeff is a mechanical enginerd, and Beth might one day practice law.  Right now, Beth is a committed shopaholic and stay at home mom.  It’s a demanding job.

Before we were married, we adopted a bichon frise named Annie.  She’s high maintenance and a bit of a diva, so she often answers to the nickname, Poops.

Shortly after we were married, we adopted another dog, a shepherd/husky mix.  We named her Maggie, but she goes by Doodlebug.

In January 2006, we found out we were expecting our first human child.  Jackson was born on October 1, 2006.

He certainly makes life interesting, and he is definitely the cutest child on the planet.

He’s a bit of a maverick in case you couldn’t tell.

If he ever stops throwing temper tantrums, we might get drunk enough to have another.  We’ll let you know.

Here’s the happy family.

Well, we finally did get drunk enough to decide that having a second child was a good idea, but it took us almost four years to even consider such a thing.    In January 2010 (sensing a pattern here, yet?), we found out we were expecting our second child.  Not only that, we found out the baby was due on the exact same day Jackson was due (September 21st)!  Weird.

Scarlett Maeve joined our family on September 16, 2010 with a very healthy set of lungs.  She’s been spending the last four months bossing us all around.  Luckily she’s cute and we’re all over the moon for her.

And if you’re ever asked a Trivial Pursuit question about us, our first dance song was Neil Diamond’s Forever in Blue Jeans.  That’s why the About Us section shares the same title.  What can I say?  I love denim.  Designer especially.
